Co-Founder, Editor-in-Chief, Fan of Napa (and Diet Coke)Clint co-founded StarkSilverCreek and writes about social media, arts, wine, indie film, and his trusty Droid. An aging ice hockey player, he tries in vain to direct Loni in SSC videos. Originally from Ottawa, Canada, Clint is a Silicon Valley and new media entrepreneur. From the early PC clone days in the 80’s, to the explosion of telecom and networking in the 90’s, and now to social networking, Web 2.0 and software-as-a-service, Clint has successfully built businesses and start-ups into multi-million dollar operations. Recently as VP marketing he spearheaded the launch of a $110M company. But that was then.

Previously Clint led branding for EMC’s $1.5B software portfolio, the 7th largest enterprise software company in the world. He began his career in the 1980s selling IBM PS/2s and “compatibles” to small businesses and government.
As a hobby in the 1980’s, he started a newsletter ‘Foghorn’ (using Guttenberg software, and cut & paste, the real scissors and paper kind!) with his father for teachers and the educational market. In 1994, he launched his first blog (just a “web site” at the time!) brilliantly called ‘Clintworld’ which chronicled high tech, travel and gadgets.
Clint completed the Stanford University Executive Marketing program. He also holds an MBA from the University of Ottawa, and a Bachelors degree from Carleton University. But of course he is still not as smart as Loni.

Some things you may not know about Clint:
- In the 1980’s was keyboardist for the band ‘Hit & Run’ which gained a college following and Canadian radio airplay featuring several live concerts at the famous Barrymore’s club in Ottawa. He still has a dusty demo cassette somewhere in the closet, and has hidden all his 80s hair pictures.
- In 2000 and 2002, he played in San Jose Sharks teal and white charity hockey games at the HP Pavilion with former NHL players Pat Falloon, Doug Wilson, Doug Pederson, Jamie Baker and Marty McSorley.
