What is StarkSilverCreek?

SSC is a Web publication focused on “All Things West Coast” including travel, wine, food, the arts (theater, film, stage) and gadgets & tech.

What do you define as the “West Coast”?

All the major locations along the Pacific Ocean. From British Columbia in Canada, Washington, Oregon and California in the United States, to the Baja in Mexico.

Primarily we focus on the Bay Area including San Jose, Oakland, Berkeley, San Francisco and everywhere in between.

Where does the name “StarkSilverCreek” come from?

Partly our name, and partly where we live in the San Jose area. Ultimately like a lot of naming projects we ran out of ideas, and decided this was it!

Who reads StarkSilverCreek?

Over 300,000 readers come here each year. The typical profile: 18-49 yrs, well-educated (majority college graduate), value the Arts, have sense of humour (we think), affluent, some with vacation homes.

Yes. We review wines from all over the world, although our focus is mostly the major wine regions along the West Coast including Napa, Sonoma, Livermore, Mendocino, Central Coast, Oregon and Washington State.
