Hey Paul, your experience with Verizon customer experience is identical to what I had in-store when I bought the phone. Fast, knowledgeable and friendly. What a refreshing change!

Yes Gmail syncing was a breeze. Another bonus of working in the "cloud." I didn't even bother having my old BB stuff transferred over since most of it was in gmail, calendar, docs, etc.

Just bought Moto Droid Friday and finally got calandar and contacts sync'd today. Don't let nice store people sync your new Droid to your old BB. Droid does not like BB contact formatting. But if you get all your contacts and calandars to gmail, all is good. Initial sync of Outlook to gmail was the tough part fo me. Display is fantastic. Voice dialing is excellent, Navagotor is amazing. Camera is OK. Wish slide out keyboard had round top keys but still OK. Verixzon coverage may be best (certainly the best I've had) but their customer service is even better. Live people who answer after just a few rings, speaking "American" who actually called me back at a prescribed time when I had access to a land line and an internet connection and walked me through all of my start up issues.
