As far as I know you can only get Google Voice invites direct.

I got my Google Voice invite yesterday as well. Mine came shortly after Tweeting that I wanted a Google Wave invite.. . Google sense of humor? Perhaps, but I'm quite happy with my Google Voice Services so far!
