We arrived at the Farmers Market in Loreto, BCS around ten o’clock this morning and while I was buying up all the handsome papayas at the market (we came home with six beautiful, large papayas) and other produce, a lady who was selling tamales and pies caught my mother’s eye.

After we unloaded our bounty of fruits and vegetables including pears, beets, limes, papaya, pineapple, asparagus and sweet potatoes which came out to a total of 266 pesos (~$20 USD), we went back to tour the rest of the farmers market. Most of the food is close to the entrance and farther back, there are household goods, plants, shoes, clothes pottery and other miscellaneous goods including car parts.

We finally caught up with the lady and she had sold out of tamales but still had a try of tarts. We bought one for 20 pesos and shared it during lunch.
