Casa del Lagarto Azul, may I present you to the world
Up until now, I’ve referred to our home as AV25 (phase and lot number in the development), but somehow, seeing this set of photos for the first time, I’m compelled to start referring to it as Casa del Lagarto Azul, a name we picked in November last year.
When I first saw these photos, I finally experienced first-hand a little of what I have observed from other homeowners who finally reach construction completion. It is a sheer sense of happiness and elation that your little casa is…well your little casa of dreams and possibilities.
Clint is already imagining us on the top viewing tower, basking under the blue Loreto skies and writing our first blog entry in our new Loreto Baja home. I imagine myself smiling and twirling around in a white sun dress on the terrace…don’t know why, just because.
Of course my pragmatic side does kick in with interjections — brief moments of noting I need to figure out how to get Perma-chink down there and insurance and….
Oh, but the twirling up on the terrace will be fun. Will I actually twirl, I don’t know. But isn’t it wonderful our little Casa del Lagarto Azul has inspired such thoughts already?
Only the beginning my friends…only the beginning :-).

Looking great will be joining you soon at our little chica. Very well done.
The cabinets look fantastic in the kitchen- mine were not installed when I was down there this week, so it is nice to see the finished product. Have you received your COSP? We were told that they had not connected the propane for power in AV yet, and homeowners that obtained their COSP would be connected to temporary power. It seemed odd to me that they did not put this infrastructure in place prior to building our homes, and are doing this after the fact.
Hi Tracy – From the photos, I am also pleased with the cabinets. The last time I saw the kitchen, it only had the cabinet boxes in place.
I have not received my COSP. I was not aware they have not connected the propane for power in AV.
Thanks for the heads up, I’m going to ask Loreto Bay.

Loni and Clint, your casa looks fantastic! I especially love the painted sinks and all the colors. We’ve been very disappointed that construction has stopped on our casa but was thinking it’d be even more frustruating to be almost done like you are. So glad to know that progress continues on your side of the road! I bet you can’t wait to go back down for your inspection. Enjoy – and Clint, take a picture of Loni twirlling in that dress.
