wine-glass-pour.jpg90 Artesa Sauvignon Blanc Reserve, Napa Valley 2005. We were fortunate to enjoy this wine on Thanksgiving in the company of friends and family. Unlike most Sauvignon Blancs, it is aged in barrels for 14 months. I suspect that is one of the reasons why there are wonderful flavors here, and certainly above average complexity. A pleasant surprise! The nose: strong and charismatic with green apple notes and citrus. Creamy smooth finish. Excellent. $23.99. Read the full review.

I should mention as of last visit to Artesa in early January, Devon at the winery noted this vintage had completely sold out. I am not surprised – great value for such a nicely structured SB.
