Discover Loreto Bay Web Site Launched: New Marketing Push Begins

It’s been a busy week for Loreto Bay. First we received updates on our Nueva Chica progress in Agua Viva (AV025). Then we received an email from Michael Coyle which contained an informative update on Loreto Bay. Now just as the weekend begins we’ve received the first official “Property Management News” newsletter concerning all things related to turning the Loreto Bay resort into a world class tourist destination and how homeowners can participate.

The newsletter is a short 2-pager with limited information; nevertheless it’s another indication of management’s intention to improve communication with homeowners. There is a profile on Rodolfo who runs property management. Loni and I met him in Loreto Bay and were impressed.

Also, a new web site designed to attract interest and tourism was launched. Called “Discover Loreto Bay” you can click here to learn more.

I expect that this is the first in many marketing milestones we will see over the coming months including a new Loreto Bay logo, email/media campaigns, sales blitzes in the fall, and new messaging emphasizing the resort and amenities angle.

Some of the highlights of the new Discover Loreto Bay site include:

  • Special: Fishing packages from $1,450
  • A reservations page
  • Design and partnership on the site is by Hospitality eBUSINESS Strategies
  • Information on amenities included in the 2 and 3 bedroom villas; this is important for homeowners as it demonstrates why minimum standards need to be met for rental program, so that they can advertise a consistent customer experience
  • A complete list of spa services
  • Information on the golf and tennis facilities
  • A brief adventure guide including: scuba, fishing, boating, tennis, whales, kayaking, and cycling
  • A visual gallery with striking photos; attention us homeowners – our places look great in photos!

Overall, I think this is another positive step.

I like that LBC management (Replay) is outsourcing this to experts in the space. It makes sense; there is a lot of precedented expertise in hospitality operations and it would be inefficient to build in-house.

  • Interesting, I think in the past when I would go to http://www.DiscoverLoretoBay.com, it would redirect to http://www.ExploreLoretoBay.com. Glad to see there is a site for finding out more details about the Inn and Villas.

I do think the reservation system for La Mision (http://lamisionloreto-px.trvlclick.com/) is a lot slicker. Then again, it is built on Adobe Flash so maybe I have a bias there.

Was the “Property Management News” newsletter electronic or hard copy? We haven’t received one yet.

    Hi:
I have signed up to be in the rental program but did not receive this newsletter.
I have requested this newsletter and to be added on for future ones but I feel like I am asking for the impossible! I cannot get to the source. If anyone knows who is putting the newsletter out can you please send me their e mail.
    Thanks
    Kathy

  • Hi Kathy,

Try contacting your account manager first (if you haven’t already), then try Heather Baki and finally Rodolfo. Also, try emailing “propertymanagement” at “loretobay.com” as listed in the Property Management category on myloretobay.com

Email us if you need any of their email contacts.

On another note when I went into the new site Discover Loreto bay I put in some random dates for renting a “Villa” but it just took me to the hotel rooms. I contacted them to ask if any of the homes were being rented but I have had not reply. I wasn’t sure if they were having a problem linking to available homes. Is there anyone in the rental program that has had their house rented?

    Have a great week

    From Kathy

    PS

We are having our furniture installed next week. Yeah!

  • Thanks Kathy for the information. I am sure other readers of StarkSilverCreek.com will appreciate your resourcefulness.

I also noticed the same thing you did regarding trying to book a villa home.

Congrats on your furniture – love you hear your experiences in that area. The information will be of great interest to all I am sure.

    Hi Loni:
Been a crazy couple of weeks for Dave and I. We should have gone to the Cayman Islands for a vacation but had to cancel at the last minute due to the Hurricanes.
Ended up in Maui which seemed to be the only place without bad weather conditions.
Our furniture has been installed and looks beautiful from the photos TCC sent us.Casa Mesquite seems to be getting an excellent reputation out there. Our electronics are also in thanks to Road 9.
We have had our linens and home wares sitting in LBC warehouse since last February which is when we were told our house would be finished ( for the umpteeth time. I had the insatllation of these items scheduled for September 5th with the rental people but as yet it has not happened. I am continually frustrated with the endless amount of people we have had to deal with. It seems like every week we have a new contact name no wonder nothing gets done on time no one can keep track of things. The left hand doesn’t know what the right hand is doing.
I am so thankful to Dawn Smith from First Contact Services who helped co-ordinate getting our blinds from ADWA. Helping us pick out our art work and having it installed. It has been 3 years and 9 months since we first signed our contract. We hope to be enjoying our casa soon.
One last note I would caution any homeowner who is thinking of building a viewing tower. If you are next to a custom home apparently they can put their tower directly in front of yours. When we went down to see our home in June we were so dissapointed when we climbed up the stairs of our tower only to look out where the ocean should be and look directly into a brick wall. The custom house in front of ours put their tower right in front and instead of leaving it open built a wall. If we knew this was the case we would never have spent the money to build our tower or to have furniture up there. We did go to LBC to look into this but have been told that a committee did sign off on the custom home plans so there is not much we can do about this. This just doen’t seem right to me.

Thanks for keeping all the info coming. Our partners are going down in November will let you know their thoughts.
    Regards
    Kathy

  • Hi Kathy,

Thanks for your detailed update. Much appreciated. Yes, I have heard many great things about Casa Mesquite and First Contact Services. For those of you that do not know, Dawn from First Contact Services can also handle payment of property taxes.

Congratulations on having your place completed. Do send us photos of your place and we will be happy to post and share with the rest of the community.

It is unfortunate about your viewing tower. The design committee needs to consider this sort of thing before approval. The whole idea of the viewing towers was to enable all homeowners to get some view of the beautiful mountains and Sea of Cortez. Depending on the status of the custom home construction, maybe you can urge Loreto Bay to contact the owners and see if there is a compromise that can be reached which would allow you to have at least a partial view.

Best of luck and keep in touch,
    Loni
