Alan Axelrod from Best Guides wrote into us after reading our review of his Loreto guide. So I thought I’d pass on this information to anyone interested in more information on Loreto.

Clint and Loni:

Thank you for taking the time to do a review of our book.  We are glad you enjoyed it and found it useful.

I wanted to point out 2 things:

first, there is an interactive web site which allows readers to input information and opinions about the material contained in the book  www.bestguideloreto.com.  We are migrating this to a better host so it isn’t quite perfected yet but there are several updates regarding air service and some restaurant changes that are noted.  Obviously, the hardest thing about printed material is to keep it fresh and accurate. The web site is our attempt to keep the book accurate and relevant over time.

Second, the book, in keeping with the sustainability principles of Loreto Bay was printed using 100% recycled materials.  This is almost unheard of in the book publishing world. We are also contributing 1% of gross sales to the Loreto Bay Foundation.

Thanks again.  I look forward to seeing you in Loreto.

Clint co-founded StarkSilverCreek and writes about social media, arts, wine, indie film, and his trusty Droid. An aging ice hockey player, he tries in vain to direct Loni in SSC videos. Originally from Ottawa, Canada, Clint is a Silicon Valley and new media entrepreneur. From the early PC clone days in the 80’s, to the explosion of telecom and networking in the 90’s, and now to social networking, Web 2.0 and software-as-a-service, Clint has successfully built businesses and start-ups into multi-million dollar operations. Recently as VP marketing he spearheaded the launch of a $110M company. But that was then.

  • Clint, How did you manage to squeeze this note in while being tossed around in airports all day?

Does this count as your entry or is the ball still in your court? I think a copy & paste of an email does not count as an entry.

Hope you’ve enjoyed the airport food!
